Safety During These Times
Our Covid-19 Protocols
*Updated July, 2024
Empower Oceanside believes in and takes COVID-19 seriously. The founder, AM, is fully vaccinated as is her family. In solidarity with the disability community, we strongly encourage members of all ages to participate in the following: practice good hygiene via hand washing, coughing and sneezing around others, wearing a mask in crowded indoor areas and if sick, and to socially isolate and get a COVID-19 test if feeling ill.
In particular we are concerned with the health of those who are most vulnerable, such as babies, some disabled folx, elders, and those who are immunocompromised.
In our effort to practice harm reduction we ask that all participants of the co-op please consider wearing a mask when gathered in an indoor, crowded space.
Each week prior to getting together, please check-in with yourself and your family to see how you all are feeling to make sure as a collective that we’re as healthy as can be when getting together. Many of us live in inter-generational households with elderly parents, folx that are unable to be vaccinated, and/or people with disabilities and we will put their safety first.
